Town
Board
The Butte Town Board consists 5 of members with elections held every
other year with alternating terms. Current board member are Thad Davis,
Shane Lechtenberg, Bob Hansen, Keith Honke, and Cindy
Schroetlin.
The Butte Town Board meets monthly on the second Tuesday in the Butte Village Office.

The Butte Community Center was built in 1996-1997 and seats
approximately 230 - in theater style. There are 20 tables and 200
chairs available. The kitchen is fully stocked. Cost to rent - $100.00

The Butte Gazette. The Gazette
Office is located at 627 Thayer Street.
Their mailing address is P O Box 6 and they will accept news at the
office in Butte or in Spencer. They will also accept news by

paper is published weekly on
Wednesdays. The yearly subscription rate is $23.00 for Boyd and
Adjoining Counties; $28.00 for Elsewhere in the state of Nebraska and
$33.00 for out of state.

The Post Office is located at 518 Thayer Street.
Mail goes out at 3:55 p.m. on week days and at 2:50 p.m. on
Saturdays.
The office is open Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and
from
1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00
a.m. They are closed Sundays and Holidays. Contact the Post

The Butte Water System produces 10,000 gallon/hour of treated water and

for the village of Butte.

We have 2 different health care
providers in Butte - Avera Butte
Medical Center is open on Monday's. The Butte
Medical Clinic is open on Wednesday's and Friday's.
We also
have the Country View
Assisted Living which has 10 units and is licensed for 16 people.
The attached Butte Healthcare Center is licensed for 47 residents.
Make-
It-Fit is an Fitness
Center that is open daily (except Sunday's) and features a circuit
resistant training exercise program, a fitness ball program and other
exercise equipment.
Boyd County Ambulance is housed in the Butte Fire

Butte Community Club
The Butte Community
Club consists of community
members
working together to develop the Butte area in a positive manner.
Members
include city officials, educators, business professionals and citizens
of the Village of Butte and the surrounding area
We sponsor Pancake Days, Community Picnic in the Park, the Flower Pots
on Thayer Street and in front of the businesses of Community Club
Members, Christmas Lighting Contest, Santa's Visit, and the
Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. We have Highway Clean-Up twice
a year and we have a Community Wide Clean-Up each spring.
We also help sponsor the
Easter Egg Hunt, Post Prom, 4th of July Fireworks and many other
local activities.
